How To Style Distressed Denim & Graphic Tees

Now that classes are back in full swing, I’m all about keeping those comfy vibes I was channeling during my month long winter break, but I also want to look like I spent more than just a few minutes getting ready in the morning. The solution: Graphic tees, distressed denim, black stilettos, and a jacket.

I’ve found that is the easiest solution to deciding what to wear when I have a short amount of time to get ready. This morning, I did just that. (PS: Peep my rushed-morning-makeup-routine here!)

Heels $28 // Jeans $140 // Happiest in NYC Tee $98 // (Similar) Jacket $65

Distressed jeans and black shoes are must-haves for any college fashionista. These are from White House Black Market. They have a great selection of sizes, and I’m a Size 0 for reference. Black stilettos are an everyday thang for a girl like me. Since I wear them so much and walk uphill both ways to class (shoutout to my mountain girls), the heel part honestly gets pretty torn up relatively quickly. I typically buy new ones about every other semester or so. The ones I’m wearing are cheapo’s from Forever21

I have to admit, my favorite part of this whole look is my graphic tee from Happiest Tees. Seriously, this thing is so soft that I want all of my clothes, all of my pajamas (except these tbh), and just everything own to feel like this. The rose gold text is such high quality. I thought there was no way it would look as great as it does on their site, but boy, was I wrong (insert a million heart eye emojis here!).

Happiest Tee $98 // Sheila Fajl Choker $75

These tee’s are all under $100, and feature hot-spots all across the world including New York City (my favorite…obviously), Miami, Los Angeles, Hawaii, Australia, Italy, you name it! I think these would make a fun Valentine’s Day present, Gal-entine’s Day gift, and all that jazz. They’re comfy, cute, and not “touristy”, so you could totally pull this off when you’re traveling.

I love this time of year because it’s all layering up. If you’re looking forward to discovering other ways to layer up without looking like the Michelin Man, drop your info at the top right widget on the right sidebar so you can stay up to date on upcoming styling tips from yours truly!
